About Me

My friends know me best as a hands-off, head in the clouds engineer - in other words, I do the math, and someone else gets their hands dirty. They also know me as novelist who until recently was content with amateur status. A common theme in my writing is the power of the human mind, both figuratively and literally; influenced by an engineering and military background, as well as classical Greek and Roman literature, the result is a blurring of the lines between fantasy and science. This site represents my effort to share my motivations, process, and results, through character journals, engineering concepts, and a personal blog.
